Apple Magic Trackpad Disassembly
Contracted white package
The package back is printed with more than ten multi-touch Trackpad supported by Magic Trackpad.
The product number is A1339.
Compared with trackpad built in Apple notebook, Apple Magic Trackpad is larger by 80%, more comfortable to use.
The alloy shell goes with Apple keyboard very well.
What is built in the alloy frame is 0.5mm condenser tracklayer forged by wear-resistant glasses
Just like Apple wireless keyboard, battery is installed in the axis of cylinder, which needs keys or coins to open.
The battery cover is designed with high mechanical efficiency of square screw thread
Powered by two AA batteries
The disassembly begins from opening the plastic bottom cover
The right, left side and top of the plastic bottom are all used adhesion agent, needing to prize up, the bottom is fixed by clips
Open up the bottom cover
The inside structure factually covers small size of space
Dismounting the white plastic frame
The main function of the frame is to fill space, in case of damaging the circuit board when the bottom suffers extrusion.
Next to do is cut off flat cable at the two positions where the main board connects with touch surface.
Be careful to deal with
Inside components are used adhensive fixing, so heating gun or hair drier are needed to heat to complete the seperation.
Even so, you still need extra strength to disassemble it.
Glass touch sides are seperated.
Magic trackpad canbe press down directly, supporting the actual mouse buttons effect., but, “buton” of magic Tracpad factually two fiber foot pad. When the Trackpad is pressed down , the foot pad will jack up the bulging connected with metal frame and squeeze the touch point in the red circle, making a sound like the mouse.
To disassemble circuit board completely, battery powering and wires of LED indicator need to be cut off firstly by solder iron.
Two screws fix the circuit board.
The major chips on the circuit board included:
Red Broadcom BCM2042 blue tooth chips, the same as the built-in blue tooth. Orange Broadcom BCM5974 touch screen controller, supporting Multi-touch. iPhone, iPod touch. And MacBook Air also use this kind of chip.
Featuring in yellow SST25WF020 2M bit serial flash memory.
There are not any components in the back, but glue.
